Let's be direct about what this page is, because most marine star ceiling pages aren't. We don't install on vessels. We supply larger illuminators and fibre — spools or cut lengths — to the trades who already do that work.

The reason is simple. A marine star ceiling is custom work: curved headliners, irregular cabin spaces, tight access, every run different. The yacht maintenance and refit companies who buy from us are already working in those spaces every day and know their vessel better than we ever would. They don't need an installer. They need the hardware.

This is not a consumer product. Custom fibre work is genuinely difficult without experience. If you're a homeowner looking at a star ceiling for a room in a house, our panel system is the right answer — it's a far more predictable job and it doesn't need this kind of skill.

Why Fiber Optic Works in a Vessel Interior

You likely know this already, but for anyone specifying it for the first time:

  • No current at the headliner. The fibres carry light only. Every star point is passive — there's nothing electrical distributed through the interior.
  • One serviceable component. The illuminator sits in one accessible location. Compare that with dozens of individual LED points spread through a cabin, each of which can fail.

Our panels are acoustic ceiling tiles designed to drop into a suspended grid or surface mount to a flat ceiling. Vessels don't have suspended grids and marine headliners are rarely flat. Loose fibre and an illuminator is the right approach for that environment, which is why we supply the components rather than panels.
