Custom fiber optic star ceilings across San Diego County — La Jolla, Del Mar, Coronado and North County. Panels from $55 per sq ft, or $77 per sq ft fully installed.
Quick Answer: A starlight ceiling in San Diego costs $55 per square foot for panels or $77 per square foot fully installed, with no separate travel charge. A typical 150 sq ft master bedroom runs $8,250 panels only or $11,550 installed, finished in a single day once our crew is on site.
We install custom fiber optic star ceilings across San Diego County, from La Jolla and Del Mar down through Coronado and out to the North County coast. Our panels are custom-manufactured acoustic ceiling tiles with the fibre optics and LED light engine already built in — they drop into a suspended grid or surface mount directly, with no attic access, no drilling and no ceiling repair.
San Diego homes tend to be single-storey or low-rise with flat ceilings and slab or crawlspace construction rather than deep attics, which suits our panels well. Because the light engine sits inside the panel rather than in a void above it, we need no space above the ceiling at all — the thing that usually complicates a traditional fibre installation here.
Master suites and media rooms are the most common projects we quote in the county, with a steady run of hospitality work in the coastal towns. The panels are acoustic tiles before they're anything else, which does real work in an open-plan room where the ceiling is often the only untreated surface.
Outside the county? We install throughout Southern California and ship panels anywhere in the state at $55 per sq ft for self-installation. See all our locations or call (702) 738-2218.
Pricing is the same across the country — panels at $55 per square foot, installation at $22 per square foot on top, with no separate travel charge. San Diego is not priced differently from anywhere else.

La Jolla, Del Mar and Rancho Santa Fe bedrooms, usually a centred field over the bed with a slow twinkle. See bedroom star ceilings.
Acoustic panels handle the ceiling reflections that hurt audio while the starfield sets the room. See home theatre star ceilings.
Coastal hospitality — dining rooms, private rooms and suites. Panels are UL fire-rated for commercial specification. See commercial star ceilings.
Treatment rooms and relaxation areas, usually at lower star density with warm tones rather than a dense field.
Boats and yachts: we don't install on vessels — that's custom work around curved headliners and the marine trades are better placed to do it. What we do is supply fibre and illuminators to yacht refit and maintenance companies who fit it themselves, at around $15 per sq ft for the hardware. If that's you, see our marine trade supply page.
Send your room dimensions and we'll come back with a fixed price for panels only and fully installed, so you can compare both.
